In short, I am a software engineer, data scientist, and musician. I am interested in obtaining good datasets related to MIR, as that is my main interest in the general field of machine learning, but such datasets and contests are relatively hard to come by, at least compared to computer vision and NLP, for example. With a strong background in signal processing and music, I feel most comfortable feature engineering and modeling in this space. Notice that my best results were in the time-series contests (despite the fact that they were EEG signals, and not audio). Kaggle does not host many contests related to MIR, however, so I would love to be granted an account here for more challenges that would better suit my skill set and interests.
